Overview
tykeTALK offers programs for children in the Thames Valley region from birth to school-age with speech and/or language difficulties. It is a partnership of service provider agencies.
Our focus is on early identification of speech and language problems. Assessment and therapy, if indicated are provided by registered Speech-Language Pathologists. Many programs are based in neighbourhoods across the region.

Changes coming to tykeTALK, Infant Hearing and Blind Low Vision programs as of September 1, 2019
As of September 1st, the coordination of tykeTALK, the Infant Hearing Program (IHP) and the Blind Low Vision (BLV) program will be transitioned from the Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) to Thames Valley Children’s Centre (TVCC).
Information for Families: For ease of transition, your child’s name, contact information and services received will be shared with TVCC beginning July 15, 2019. This information will be stored in a secure database.
Your child’s original referral date will remain the same. There will be no disruption to the services you are currently receiving. All services will continue to be delivered through the current sites.
Please direct any questions about this change to Karen Tjosvold, Interim Manager tykeTALK/Infant Hearing/Blind Low Vision Programs. She can be contacted at 519-685-8700 ext. 53469 or by email at karen.tjosvold@tvcc.on.ca.
