How we work

Debbie Shugar, the System Facilitator coordinates all aspects of the program. She works closely all the service provider agencies to ensure that high quality services are being offered throughout the Thames Valley region.

Judy Ball, the Health Promoter works out in the community providing information to families and professionals about speech and language development.

Diane Bélanger, the Intake Coordinator provides parents with a coordinated referral process and oversees the database of all children referred to the tykeTALK system.

Gail Sheehan, the Administrative Assistant enters data on children receiving services from tykeTALK & provides administrative assistance to the tykeTALK office staff.

Shirley VanderPloeg, the Administrative Assistant/Data Entry Clerk enters data on children receiving services from tykeTALK and provides administrative assistance to the tykeTALK office staff.

Governance

The tykeTALK Alliance Steering Committee (Click here) is composed of community representatives and our service provider agencies (Click here). They are responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the ongoing planning, implementation and evaluation of our system. Members work and or reside in London-Middlesex, Elgin and Oxford counties.

Our lead agency is the Middlesex London Health Unit (MLHU). The MLHU is responsible for managing the tykeTALK program. The tykeTALK administrative office is housed at the Middlesex-London Health Unit.
