Parents and care givers can refer a child to tykeTALK by calling the intake coordinator at 663-5317 extension 2224 No child is too young to receive services from a Speech and Language Pathologist Speech and language problems are the most common problem faced by Ontario children. 1 in 10 of all toddlers will be faced with a speech and language difficulty. tykeTALK wants parents and families to be involved! We are always looking for family members to sit on our volunteer committees. In our first year we saw double the number of children previously seen for speech and language problems and still reduced the waiting time for families by half!

Early identification and treatment for young children with speech and language problems improves school readiness.
